About

I am a middle class house-wife residing in Bangalore. Whenever my son and daughter-in-law wanted to have a special family recipe, they used to consult me over the phone. A while ago my daughter-in-law introduced me to the world of food blogs. Though initially reluctant, I started enjoying browsing through these blogs. After going through these blogs, I was very impressed. Then she started coaxing me to open this blog.

I was initially opposed to the idea, because I consider myself to be only an amateur cook. I am interested in the traditional south Indian Iyer recipes to a limited extent only, and not more than that. I agreed to it eventually, although with a bit of hesitation, purely because of her persuasion and enthusiasm. For presentation and maintenance of this blog, I consult my son and daughter-in-law.

I am aware of my limited knowledge in this field, since I belonged to the category of working women for a major part of my life and did not get much time to cook full-time at home. I would be happy if the entries of this blog inspire at least very few people in these days of fast food culture.
